EXPERT DELEGATION TRIP AND BILATERAL KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE ON HYDROGEN
ABOUT
The global energy transition is progressing with unprecedented dynamism. Countries around the world are working on developing robust frameworks, regulations, and partnerships that will facilitate sustainable solutions to the climate crisis. As part of this shift towards a new energy landscape, green hydrogen may emerge as game-changing technologies. To encourage the market development, international collaboration and knowledge exchange are crucial.
The senior-level Canadian hydrogen delegation's visit to Germany in May exemplified an important and relevant effort in fostering the bilateral knowledge exchange on hydrogen between the two countries. The three-day delegation trip program involved key stakeholders from the German hydrogen sector and provided a platform for discussing regulatory, technical, and economic issues of hydrogen, gaining insights into the hydrogen landscape and its key actors along the hydrogen value chain in Germany.
This successful trip, organized by the Renewables Academy AG on behalf of the Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action within the framework of the Canadian-German Climate and Energy Partnership, and in cooperation with Adelphi and the German-Canadian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, concluded with delegates eager to continue discussions and create opportunities for collaboration.
