GREEN TVET School 2022
The energy transition needs trained and qualified professionals with bright minds and skilled hands at every level.
RENAC is partnering with TVET Hamburg to offer this e-learning course on the German dual TVET system, focusing on the skills needed for renewable energies and energy efficiency professionals.
This course is designed for TVET managers, policy makers, researchers and educators interested in the application of dual training features during the upskilling and reskilling of workforces, to prepare them for careers in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors.
The course examines the features of Germany’s dual TVET system, provides insights into specific TVET approaches for renewables, and explores cross-cutting topics such as training equipment, quality assurance and digitalisation. It also delves into what the “green” market needs from its workforce and how existing TVET curricula can be adapted to better meet this demand. By taking the course, participants will also be able to expand their professional networks and be presented with the opportunity to learn about best practices in other countries’ TVET systems.
The course is held online and includes interactive sessions, tasks and live discussions. Online forums and chat facilitate an ongoing exchange between the organisers and participants around the world.
The next course will start in autumn 2022. It runs over six weeks and has an estimated weekly workload of around four hours and is carried out in English. Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded a certificate.
The course contains modules covering the following:
