We, the Renewables Academy (RENAC) AG and the subsidiary RENAC energy & climate gGmbH, are internationally oriented training providers specialising in renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency, and fields of application for green hydrogen and power-to-X. We offer online courses, in-person training in Germany and abroad, set up local training structures, implement study courses in cooperation with universities, and organise events as part of the German Energy Solutions initiative.

Since our establishment in 2008, we have trained and educated more than 33,000 participants from the public, private and financial sector in over 170 countries. Our headquarters are in Berlin Mitte, and we currently have 50 permanent employees. Our eLearning portfolio on green energy topics consists of about 130 courses between 10 and 220 hours of self-learning time covering technical, economic and legal aspects and is unique worldwide. We are looking for a full-time (38.5 h/week)project manager for our online academy, which offers online and blended training on renewable energies, energy efficiency, green finance, and fields of application for green hydrogen and power-to-X. The position is to be filled as soon as possible.  

Your tasks:

  • Enhancing RENAC Strategy: Continuously improve the RENAC strategy for eLearning and blended learning products, covering both online and in-person training.
  • Project Management: Manage projects related to developing new and updating existing multilingual eLearning materials, including instructional videos.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a small team of online experts and provide support to students.
  • Software Administration and Infrastructure Development: Handle the administration of software tools (such as Moodle, webinar platforms, and authoring tools). Collaborate with external service providers to enhance the technical infrastructure.
  • Quality Assurance and Accreditation: Oversee course accreditation and ensure quality control.
  • Marketing and Sales Support: Provide input to the marketing and sales teams regarding eLearning courses. Assist the sales team in acquiring new customers. Prepare proposals for bids and tenders.
  • International Projects: Participate in international RENAC projects involving eLearning components.

What you should bring with you:

  • Professional Experience:Experience working with online learning platforms, preferably with Moodle.
  • Project Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple projects.
  • Instructional Expertise:Understanding of instructional requirements and methodologies for effective learning experiences. Familiarity with digital learning, live virtual learning, workshops, augmented reality, and blended learning.
  • Instructional Design:Experience in instructional design and adult learning theory.
  • Language Skills: Strong written and oral English skills, good German skills, additional language skills (Spanish, French, or Portuguese) are welcome.
  • Education: Ideally, a university degree or comparable qualification.
  • Management Experience: First-hand management experience (leading a small team).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office. Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS or databases/programming (advantageous but not mandatory).
  • Attention to Detail:Ability to handle competing priorities and demonstrate attention to detail.
